Maria Montessori saw the potential of each child and developed her material to help them to grow.
We started as a Montessori class and it remains the strong roots of our ethos. We believe that the Montessori Method of teaching children is second to none. Children are encouraged to be themselves and respect others for their own individuality.
The Montessori curriculum is always up-to-date and dynamic because observation and the meeting of needs is continual and specific for each child. When physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional needs are met children glow with excitement and a drive to play and work with enthusiasm, to learn, and to create. They exhibit a desire to teach, help, and care for others and for their environment.
The Montessori method teaches children through Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths, Language and Culture. Our Montessori rooms are designed and fully equipped with Montessori materials to prepare children for starting school.
The Nest caters for children of all ages in our branches. We provide nutritious meals three times daily.
Our menu has been specially selected with your children’s healthy living in mind.
We understand you as a parent worrying about what your child eats. We aim to alleviate those fears! We provide a breakfast, a healthy mid-morning snack, a nourishing mid-day meal, a tide-me-over snack and a tasty top up tea!
Fresh fruit and vegetables are always top of our list with vegetables served with our main meal. Your child will also have a portion of fruit each day while in our care.
Our menu has been specially selected to ensure that your child get a wide and varied choice of foods. We are happy to prepare meals for children with specific dietary or religious requirements.
Playing outside gives your child the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures. Your child can play games, test their physical limits, express themselves and build their self-confidence.
Outdoor play can also mean more mess – and more mess often means more fun!
All of Nest Childcare creches have their own outdoor space with sand pits and play areas.
